Effective Fitness Combatives

This week, the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office teamed up with the Spartanburg Police Department to conduct an Effective Fitness Combatives class at Fight to Win Spartanburg. The intensive two-day class was led by SCSO Uniform Patrol Captain Henderson, SPD Sgt. Dylan Davis, and Royce Gracie Black Belt Ben Holder.
Topics included principles of defensive tactics, weapons engagements, takedowns and takedown defense, grip breaks, defensive positioning, single-officer and multiple officer apprehension.
